NI can now 'FedEx it'
FedEx Express, a subsidiary of Fed Ex Corp. the world’s largest express transportation company has set up in Northern Ireland to improve connectivity for local firms doing business with foreign markets. A total of 52 job opportunities stem directly from the investment, with up to three times that figure likely to benefit indirectly in related industries. Both international and domestic customer deliveries will be served from a 20,000-square-foot FedEx custom facility at Kilroot Business Park in Carrickfergus. As well as the domestic ground delivery service within Northern Ireland there is a FedEx global service using a daily flight from Belfast International.
MF Communication devised and implemented the PR launch strategy for FedEx Express in association with the Dublin-based communications consultancy, Cullen Communications. This included a high profile event for business stakeholders at Belfast International Airport and a media relations strategy. The launch was extensively covered across broadcast, print and online media including BBC Newsline, UTV Live and all the main radio stations.
